The Windows app allows users to access their photo storage that is available to every holder of the Google account, and take advantage of the streamlined photo backup, organization, management, and sharing tools. Originally released in 2011 as the part of the social network platform Google+, Google Photos was separated into a standalone service in May of 2015 after which it becomes one of the most widely used photo storage platforms in the world with over 1 billion active users who are uploading on average over 28 billion photos and videos each week.
Google Photos App is the official windows photo sharing and storage service developed by Google.
